At H2O, I realize I’m alive! I have life and I can give it to whomever I will. Freely I’ve received, freely, I give! I’m discovering and fulfilling my destiny in abundant freedom and love and it’s good!!

At H2O, I’m allowed to be me and you’re allowed to be you!

H2O was birthed by the Lord in April 2010 when He told Trevor to start a church. He told him that his role was not to build it because that is the Lord’s role. Trevor and Yael were called to simply obey.

Trevor and Yael met with Angus Buchan at his farm in May 2010, and he prayed over them, anointing them with oil, and released them to host Mighty Men Meetings and Warrior Women Meetings, as well as confirming that they should build a ‘base.’ It was a divine appointment and Trevor and Yael will always be grateful to God for their very special meeting with Angus.

After that meeting, there were five people at the first get together at their home in Fourways, Johannesburg at the end of May 2010, including Yael, Judah and Trevor. They ‘soaked’ in God’s presence and waited on Him. For a few months after that, they met at their home and their friends’, Clive and Lucia’s farm in Hekpoort, about 60 kilometres away. On one of those occasions, Lucia received a word that the church was to start in a high traffic zone.

The Nu Metro Cinema in Clearwater Mall, Roodepoort was chosen as the venue for their Sunday services and H2O’s first official service was on Sunday the 18th July 2010, the week after the Soccer World Cup Final. It was also the birthday of one of South Africa’s favourite people, the late Madiba (Nelson Mandela).

In October 2011, the air conditioner packed in at the cinema in Clearwater and Nu Metro offered to let H2O use their cinemas in Monte Casino. They remained there until January 2015, and have since moved to their own venue just a few hundred metres from Monte Casino, “My Father’s House,” 50 Kingfisher Drive, Fourways.

People come from as far as Centurion, Midrand, Glen Vista and other areas in and outside of Johannesburg as well as Fourways, Randburg and Sandton.

The Presence of God is evident at all of their services and the folk attending H2O immediately feel like they are part of a close knit, yet growing church family, where fellowship is a focus. After every service, folk meet together for coffee and snacks at the poolside lapa in the garden of the church. Friendships are formed and lives are changed. Everyone feels accepted in H2O.

H2O have an awesome children’s ministry called “Superkid Academy” and the volunteers involved absolutely love and believe in children. Each week they are taught a dynamic lesson from this bible based curriculum and the children can’t wait to come back every week.

During the week, H2O have a Ministry Training Centre which meets at the church on a Wednesday evening. There are also Chai groups (life groups or home cells) in Fourways, Randburg and Lonehill.

In March 2013, the late John Paul Jackson of Streams Ministries International, one of the world’s leading men of God focusing on interpreting dreams and visions, released Trevor and Yael to start and run Streams Training Centre South Africa, which was an absolute honour and also a spiritual boost for the members of H2O.

In January 2014, H2O were very privileged to be the second church in South Africa added to the family of Joel Osteen’s Champion’s Network and trust that, like with Angus Buchan and John Paul Jackson, this is a divine connection which will do wonderful things in the Spirit.

H2O have sent missionaries to Mozambique, taken the Gospel to various outlets and had the privilege and opportunity to see God move in the lives of people from all walks of life.

H2O reaches out on the first Saturday of every month, where our team, headed up by Rainer and Angie Scherwath.p, take food and always deliver a message of encouragement with ministry to those on the streets and in settle the areas.

Trevor and several of the men from H2O are working with Kairos Prison Ministry at Leeuwkop Maximum Security Prison, bringing hope and transformation to long term inmates.

At H2O, we expect the blind to see, the deaf to hear, the lame to walk and the dumb to speak. The sick are healed, the demonised and oppressed are delivered and the lost are saved. The believer discovers his or her great self worth in Christ, and is filled with the Holy Spirit and fire in order to fulfil the Great Commission.

At H2O, we are convinced that rivers of living water are flowing out of our bellies, bringing life to those around us, because Jesus Christ paid the full price for us to inherit the promise of the Father, which is the precious Holy Spirit, the Source of the Living Water.

At H2O, we believe:

The entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.
In one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as the Saviour of the world.
Jesus died on the cross and shed His Blood for our sins.
Jesus rose from the dead and is alive, and is coming again.
Salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the Blood of Christ, a representation of us joined with Christ in His death and resurrection and a public declaration of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.
Every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and being conformed to the image of Christ.
As children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
The gifts and the fruit of the Spirit are for today and God confirms His Word with signs following.
